These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AutoRecap.ai ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

AutoRecap.ai transcribes, compiles, and summarizes audio, video, and text content using automated AI processing. Output is generated automatically and provided "as is"; while we strive for quality, AI-generated transcripts and summaries may contain errors and should be independently verified before you rely on them for important decisions.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Plans, Billing & Cancellation

The Free plan includes a limited number of AI summaries per month. The Creator Pro plan ($15/month) includes a higher monthly summary allowance and additional features, billed monthly through Stripe until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial-month refunds are provided except where required by law. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.

4. Fair Use

Plan allowances exist to keep the Service fast and affordable for everyone. We may throttle or suspend accounts engaged in automated abuse, quota circumvention, account sharing, or resale of the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any law or third-party right; process content you do not have the right to process; attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems; or generate content that is unlawful. You are responsible for ensuring your use of source material (including YouTube content and uploaded recordings) complies with applicable law and the terms of the platforms it originates from.

6. Your Content

You retain all rights to content you upload and to the summaries generated from it. You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to operate the Service. We do not use your content for advertising and do not permit AI providers to train on it.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided without uptime guarantees. Features may change as the product evolves; material reductions to paid functionality will be communicated in advance.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
